We recommend using 30 AWG silicone stranded-core wire. Wires to connect the brightness controller are not included with the LCD.Since the viewing area is approximately the same dimensions as the shell's display cut-out (~77 mm) the the edge of the shell will be visible unless trimmed.The interior left wall (D-pad side) must be removed to center the viewing area on the display.We sell silk screen centered lenses with this larger viewing opening. In order to make the entire display visible, the LCD requires a lens with a slightly larger viewing area (~1 mm on each side). The IPS panel's viewing area is slight larger than that of the AGS-101.Since most of the display is not supported by the shell, we have designed a 3D-printed centering bracket. It's also available separately. Unlike the AGS-101 display, the IPS LCD is much thinner and has a larger bezel on the left side.V2 eliminates the screen tearing from the first iteration of the ribbon cable and streamlines the ribbon design. The regular bright setting on the AGS-101 is better than the brightest screen on the AGS-001. The old screen has two light settings (off and on) while the newer screen has two setting that are BRIGHT and BRIGHTER. I was not aware of the vast superiority of the newer AGS-101 screen until I gave mine away and bought another one (the NES version). Which versions of the SP came with the brighter AGS-101 screen exclusively and which versions could be had with both? I did not know the Spongebob version had the brighter screen until I saw one on ebay. I thought ALL the pearl blue systems had the newer AGS-101 screen. I know these four versions came with the far superior enhanced screen (version AGS-101) versus the older version of the SP (version AGS-001) but I was recently thrown for a loop when I saw what I thought was a pearl blue system but with the older screen.
